THE THRONE ROOM OF HEAVEN (Revelation 4:1-11)

Okay, so now having gone over the seven epistles of Jesus to the seven churches, these next chapters are going to take us in some astonishing directions. That being stated, I want to re-emphasize that I am not here to sell my views to anyone. But I'm simply attempting to share what it is that I believe, and the reasons as to why I believe it. My hope is that you will couple prayer and fasting with your own study, and come to your own conclusions.


- After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.(Revelation 4:1) -

The Letter To Laodicea

- And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. The Letter To Philadelphia

 - And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. The Letter To Sardis

- And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.  The Letter To Thyatira

- And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. The Letter To Pergamos

 - And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. (Revelation 2:12-17) -

The Letter To Smyrna

 - And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. (Revelation 2:8-11) -

The Letter To Ephesus

 - Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. (Revelation 2:1-7) -

SEVEN LAMPSTANDS and SEVEN STARS
(Revelation 1:12-20)

So John is commanded by a voice like a trumpet to write what he sees in a book, and send it to the seven churches in Asia. There is an important question that should be considered here. Or at the very least, kept in the back of the mind as we continue on. That question is this... Why these seven? Its been sixty three years since Pentecost and the pouring out of the Holy Ghost. There are over a hundred active churches now. Several of which we would think were more prominent than these seven. Why not Antioch, Jerusalem, Rome, Athens, Philippi, Caesarea, Thessalonica, or Corinth? Why these particular seven? Well, I would submit that upon further study of these seven letters, we will begin to see the veil slowly removed from some very interesting and complex end-time models.

- And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; (Revelation 1:12) -

The word "candlesticks" is interpreted from the Greek word "luchnia," which literally means "lampstands." Keep in mind that the lampstand is not the source of light, but the light bearer. And before the chapter is through, Jesus Himself explains what the lampstands represent.

- And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. (Revelation 1:13-16) -

Here we have a description of the glorified, resurrected Christ as He appears in Heaven. This vision of Jesus that John saw had seven key features.

The Things That Thou Hast Seen

- The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.(Revelation 1:1,2) -

Introduction

I thought I might share some of the things the Lord has shown me concerning the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. These notes I've taken are also from various teachers, and different commentaries. For me personally, the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book of majesty, a book of mystery, and a book of misery. Majesty in that this book contains one of the most glorious revelations of Jesus Christ in all of Scripture in my humble opinion... this is in addition to this book being the consummation of our current age, and all things that began in the book of Genesis. Mystery in that there is still so much of this book that has yet to be understood. Misery in that it reveals the ultimate doom of the wicked that reject the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ.

FIREPROOF - Part 5: Living Changes (Conclusion)

 

Change will begin with you... I can still remember how a couple of years ago, I was trying to figure out how to re-ignite the fire that I felt had gone out in my marriage. I desperately longed for and missed the woman that came and sat on my lap when I presented her with an engagement ring. The woman that was not to ashamed to look me in the eyes and tell me that she loved me occasionally. The woman that would actually take me by the hand and lead me back to the bedroom sometimes. It was like that woman disappeared not long after we were married... and I never saw her again after the children were born. And no amount of heart to heart conversation, prayer, fasting, or weeping would bring her back. It didn't matter how much I hit the gym to change my physique, what college degree or job I obtained, what hobbies of hers that I tried to share in... things seemed to only deteriorate. Be that as it may, I entered into a covenant with this woman before God. So I was not going to give up, despite how I felt. One weekend I thought that I would go back to the beginning. Back to square one. I would retrace my steps and do the things that we did when we were first married. I thought I would surprise her with something from Victoria's Secret.

FIREPROOF - Part 4: Caught in the Rain

 

Either love enters in and pride begins to break down, or pride remains intact and love never truly enters. But if love never truly enters into a heart due to it already being filled with pride, and thus incapable of receiving or rendering love... then what are the couples in question rendering to each other?

FIREPROOF - Part 3: Winds Of Change

Just as pride is at the source of all contentions, I believe the solutions to these contentions begin with understanding a proud heart.

The heart can suffer wounds so grievous, so deep, and so painful that only God Almighty can bring healing. This is especially true of the heart filled with pride... it's healing will not come through the tender words of a spouse, spending time with friends, family, counseling, medications, or even church attendance. This kind of healing only comes through a personal encounter with the love God, as sent from the Father, through the Son, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

FIREPROOF - Part 2: The Source of All Contentions

It is a testament to the hardness of the hearts of the Pharisees, and their misunderstanding of the Law when they asked Jesus... "Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?" And again when they asked, "Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?" However, Jesus corrects them in stating that Moses never commanded such a thing to be done. But he permitted it to be so because of the hardness of the people's hearts.


- He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. (Matthew 19:8) -

FIREPROOF Part 1: Fornication, Adultery, and Divorce

Beloved, as it pertains to the subject of divorce, I'm beginning to think that we as believers have completely dropped the ball with this one. Either we've completely misunderstood, or rebelled against what Jesus taught on this matter.


- But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (Matthew 5:32) -


- And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. (Matthew 19:9) -

A MORAL LANDSLIDE IS COMING

Woe unto all the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea, for the devil has come down to you with great wrath to deceive, if it were possible, even the elect and chosen of God. And how will Satan attempt to vex and deceive even God's chosen people? I believe he will attempt to reach his goal of seducing mankind by creating a moral landslide. He will open the flood gates of hell and seek to baptize the world in erotic filth, smut, and sensuality. This moral landslide will surpass anything the human mind can conjure. Already a demonic spirit of lust is sweeping over many nations, bringing with it nudity, perversion, and a flood of filth.

More often than we realize, God continues to reveal His plans through dreams. We may see this operation demonstrated in the events that transpired between Abraham and Abimelech, concerning Abraham's wife Sarah.

People of God, I firmly believe that the Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost, continues to speak to man by way of dreams and visions. I also maintain that our Lord uses an authentic, heavenly dream language. This language is discerned by the soul, through Scriptures and the leading of the Holy Spirit. However, as I am attempting to explain this spiritual operation, as well as the reasons as to why I believe as I do... it is imperative that the Scriptures and the revealed nature of God be kept as the foundation upon which all explanations rest.

Civil Rights Does Not Impart Righteousness

What if I told you that I was a Christian, BUT...

I didn't believe that Jesus was the Son of God.

I didn't believe that Jesus was God Himself. 

I didn't believe Jesus was born of a virgin.

I didn't believe that Jesus ever rose bodily from the dead.

What if I said that all of these things - indeed, much about the story of Jesus Christ - was simply a reworking of historical fables & myths?
